Celtic number two Paul Mitchell is excited about the trip to Gainsborough on Saturday.

I had and indeed still have some good friends at the Northolme. The club is well run and there are plenty of nice people there. I would probably still have been there had it not been for the change of policy that Peter Swan introduced. It is true that they have managed to attract some big name players, Luke Beckett being a case in point, but I am firmly of the belief that that style of management will not bear fruit in the long run and that is why I left.

Given the budget they have it is something of a surprise that they havent made a bigger impact and they seem to be quite inconsistent. Hopefully we will catch them on a bad day!

The lads are chomping at the bit to get a game under their belts. It was disappointing that the Farsley game didn't go ahead last weekend but we will hit the ground running tomorrow.

I am loving my time at Celtic, but I loved my four and a half years at Gainsborough too. This is a big occasion for me but I will only be happy if we get the right result.
