Our over 50's Walking Football Team 'Vintage Celtic' were in action last Friday (28th February), participating in the monthly Walking Football League at the Football & Tennis Centre of the Etihad complex, organised by City in the Community from Manchester City FC.
On a nice clear morning the Team, sporting the kit of Stalybridge Celtic FC, took to the astro-turf, for their first outing in the League, which will run until July.
The scores on the day were as follows -
Vintage Celtic v Blackpool FC L 0-3
Vintage Celtic v Manchester City Strollers W 4-0
Vintage Celtic v Shrewsbury Town FC L 2-3
Vintage Celtic v Huddersfield Town FC W 2-0
Vintage Celtic v St. Helen's Old Boys D 1-1
Vintage Celtic v Glossop Gentlemen FC W 5-0
All in all a good day out at Manchester City, fantastic performances from everyone in the Team.
