Our first ever Walking Football Tournament for men over 50, took place on the Bower Fold pitch today, where Manchester City FC Blue Moon Walkers, ran out winners, with our very own, Vintage Celtic, taking second place.


Luckily the rain held off for a fantastic afternoon of walking football action, with every game played in the right manner and spirit, our thanks go to all the teams who participated for making the day a great success.


Vintage Celtic scores were as follows -


Game 1 - W 2-0 v MCFC Cityzens

Game 2 - L 0-1 v MCFC Blue Moon Walkers

Game 3 - W 2-0 v Tranmere Rovers A

Game 4 - W 2-0 v Rochdale Stroke Active

Game 5 - W 1-0 v Macclesfield Town

Game 6 - D 0-0 v Tranmere Rovers B

Game 7 - W 2-0 Rochdale Strollers

A big thank you goes to our partners, Cheshire FA and Age UK Tameside, for their help and support, also to Janet West for staffing the Bar in the Social Club, High Lane Junior FC Academy for the use of the Samba Goals and to Elliott Stott from The Prince's Trust for volunteering to Referee some of the fixtures.
