Football is back tomorrow night at Bower Fold after the Rugby League game on Sunday, we are in the Semi-Final of the Manchester Senior Cup, where Radcliffe Borough FC are the visitors, again our resident Poet and Season Ticket holder, Stuart Vallantine has produced a Match Day Poem...

ONE STEP CLOSER:

It's semi finals night in the Frank Hannah,
Three to four hours towards silverware.
First off, ninety minutes against Boro';
They beat the Ashton teams to get there.

We could be next if we're not careful,
In spite of their precarious position.
Fourth bottom, NPL First Division,
The cup's their escape, and could be fruitful.

History's on their side; for us it's our level.
Two leagues above, a 'Bridge win seems possible.
They've beaten us before, in our Unibond era.
Even in close season friendlies over summer.

Tonight's a run out, and a place in the final.
Trafford or Mossley, could be our rivals.
Time to get tonight out of the way,
And aim for a great display.

One step closer, three hours from glory,
Hopefully, our name on the trophy.
A confidence boost to give the lads a fillup,
Here's to progress in the Manchester Premier Cup

Kick Off is 7.45pm, come along and cheer us on ‪#ýupthebridge‬
