Our Adult Disability Team attended their last Training Session of the 2015/16 season over at Ashton 6th Form College last night. The Team have been training there weekly since July 2015 and have been playing each month in the Cheshire East Ability Counts League at Aquinas College in Stockport.

We finished runners-up in The Championship division of the League, Rochdale AFC were the worthy winners, with Stockport County Community Foundation, Stockport Cerebral Palsy Tigers and Buxton Sportability finishing below us. The Team also participated in the Cheshire Ability Counts Cup back in April at the Cheshire FA HQ in Northwich, making it into the semi-finals.

Well done to Chris Tipping who scooped the 'Player of the Year' award, voted by the Team, Adrian Pallett who won the 'Sportsperson of the Year' award and Josh Haughton who walked off with the 'Manager of the Year' Trophy for a sterling job of managing the Team in the February League fixtures.

Next season we are looking to field two teams in the League and enter a few more Tournaments/Festivals to give the players more opportunities to play the beautiful game.

Training for the 2016/17 season starts back again on Tuesday 2nd August 2016, over at the College, 6.00pm until 7pm.
