Our Community Development work here at Bower Fold, funded by The National League Trust, have scooped the third place award in the 'Pride of Tameside Sports Awards' held at Dukinfield Town Hall last Friday night.

We were nominated in the 'Club of the Year' category for our Community work in and around Tameside over the past twelve months. Our congratulations go to the Winners, Curzon Ashton FC, and the Runners Up, West End AFC (Denton).

Community Trustee, Gerald Crossley, was on hand at the Dinner to receive our very nice Award.

Community Development Officer, Mike Smith, 'We are thrilled to receive the Award in recognition of the Community Development work we do throughout the community, from our Walking Football Team, Vintage Celtic, to our Disability Team, Active Goals Schools programme to our Ticket Initiatives, we can offer something for everyone. We look forward to improving on what we have achieved during the last year and hope to challenge for the first prize next year!'
