Our Adult PAN-disability players were our Community Guests at Bower Fold last Saturday for the visit of FC United of Manchester, where they were presented with their Cheshire East Ability Counts League medals by GB Hockey Olympic Gold and Bronze medallist, Nicola White, during half time.

After accessing a 'Grow the Game' grant from The Football Foundation in 2015, we were able to set up our disability team, providing weekly training sessions and entering a team in the Ability Counts League, which runs once a month at Aquinas College in Stockport.

Due to the success of the team last season, finishing Runners Up in The Championship division of the league, we can now boast twenty five squad players registered to play for Stalybridge Celtic FC, enabling us to field a team again in The Championship (Whites), but also one in The Premiership division (Blues).

Other Teams in the League include - Stockport County FC (2), Stockport Cerebral Palsy Tigers (2), SPARC, Pennine United, Manchester City Amps and Aquinas College.

Our Football Secretary, Michael Beech, has come on board to Manage the Blues, guiding them to a win, draw and two defeats last month in the League fixtures, with the next games set to take place next Tuesday 22nd November at 6pm, come along and support the team, all welcome!
