Both of our two Adult PAN-disability teams braved the chilly conditions at Aquinas College last night, to take part in the FA People's Cup, hoping to win a trip to Wembley!

It was also one of our monthly set of fixtures in the Cheshire East Ability Counts League, where the Blues went into the fixtures in second place and the Whites sitting in fourth.

Both teams had three players each missing, which made it a bit difficult at times, but everyone who pulled the Stalybridge Celtic shirt on did themselves proud, with some great football on show and some entertaining games.

The results were as follows -

BLUES (9pts)
Manager: Scott Bentley
Captain: Lee Barrowclough

L 0-2 v Stalybridge Celtic Whites
W 2-1 v Pennine United
W 3-1 v Lifestyle Originals
L 1-2 v Stockport County FC
W 3-1 v Buxton FC
L 0-2 v Trafford Choices

WHITES (12pts)
Manager: Anthony Fairhurst
Captain: Lee Fairhurst

W 2-0 v Stalybridge Celtic Blues
L 0-1 v Stockport County FC
W 2-1 v Buxton FC
L 1-2 v Trafford Choices
W 3-1 v Pennine United
W 2-0 v Lifestyle Originals

The team in The Championship Division who won the most points will go through to the next round of the FA People's Cup, with the results against our usual League opponents counting towards the League table.

Our thanks go to Foundation Trustee, Brian Coll and Vintage Celtic player, Eric Williams, for again helping out the teams on the night, much appreciated.

The next set of Ability Counts fixtures will take place at Aquinas College on Tuesday 20th March 2018, 6.00pm to 8.30pm.
