Last Saturday whilst the first team were away at Farsley Celtic FC, Bower Fold staged a Charity match between our new adult pan-disability team, Stalybridge Celtic AFG (Alternative Futures Group) and Honeywell FC, a team formed from the Man v Fat' project delivered by Oldham Athletic Community Trust.

A fantastic turnout of approx. 300 people cheered both teams on, which Honeywell FC ran out winners on the day.

1,900.00 was raised and split between AFG, Honewell FC and the Stalybridge Celtic Foundation.

One of the AFG players was unable to attend the event due to being in hospital, so both teams played the game for the Nathan Turner Cup', with Honeywell FC kindly donating the Trophy back to AFG.

A great afternoon of football, in the glorious sunshine, with everybody enjoying the experience.

Well done to both teams. A massive thank you to Sean, James and the AFG players, who put an enormous amount of effort in to making the day possible, and our Director, Gordon Greenwood and Head Steward, Andy Hobson, along with Carla and Mark from Bower Fold Events, for great support for the game.
