Danny joins from Macclesfield and brings a wealth of experience . He kept the most clean sheets in the 2022-23 NPL West season whilst at Runcorn Linnets as they reached the play-off final and picked up a hat-trick of awards being named Manager’s Player, Young Supporters’ Player and Players’ Player of the season. Starting his career at Rochdale, Taberner became their youngest ever player when he made his debut in an FA Cup game vs Luton Town aged 16. After moving on to Salford City, he made 94 appearances for Atherton Collieries over two seasons before a successful two years at Northwich Victoria. A return to Colls saw him then join Runcorn Linnets where, after an incredible season, where Linnets saw defeat in the play-off final, Taberner picked up three Club awards as well, keeping the most clean sheets in the division. He joined Guiseley last summer before a stint at Clitheroe and then finishing the season with Macclesfield.
