Player Profile - Martyn Lancaster (5th Nov 2004 - 11th Nov 2004)
Defender Martin started as a trainee at Chester City, and though he had a trial for Aston Villa, it was back to Chester he came back to and joined the senior ranks not long after his 18th birthday. He was part of the defence that took Chester out of the Conference and has spent an impressive 5 years with them. After being deducted 10 points in September 2004, Steve Burr took Martin to Northwich Victoria in an effort to recoup some of the ground lost, but he only stayed for two months before becoming disheartened and looking for a new club. After a brief flirtation with Worksop Town, he joined Celtic. Then immediately joined Southport!
