We’ve confirmed the signing of talented defender Luke Partington on loan from Radcliffe.
The former Stockport County defender who turns 19 on Sunday, joins on loan until January 4th 2025.
Luke joined Radcliffe last month on a one-year deal, having come through the ranks at Stockport County. Last season, he spent time on loan with both Atherton Colls and Guiseley in the NPL Premier Division.
After making the switch to Celtic, Luke told us: “I’m buzzing to have signed for the Club and can’t wait to get going!
“The aim over the next few months is to get as many minutes and wins on the board as possible to help the team reach promotion this season.
“I am a wing-back who can also play inside the pitch and I enjoy getting up and down the pitch.”
Manager James Kinsey added: “With our current number of injuries, we needed to go out and add to the squad. Everybody experiences this in a season really, we’re just unfortunate that our bad luck is coming right now on this front ahead of a busy October.
“Luke is somebody who I have worked with at Stockport County. He is a right-back that went out on loan to step three last season where he really impressed. He has since signed for Radcliffe and we appreciate them letting him come to us for valuable game time.”
Welcome to Celtic, Luke!
