Our Corporate Guests v Leamington FC were given winning entries to judge on their table, leading to 5 overall finalists, which were judged by our Manager, Keith Briggs, Coach, Dave Sullivan, and player, Paul Ennis, at the Training Ground, along with Community Development Officer, Mike Smith.
The overall winners were Year 4 pupil, Imogen from Rosehill Primary School over in Ashton-under-Lyne, who scooped the Key Stage 2 prize with a dish entitled ‘Rainbow Stir Fry' and George from Year 1 at St. Paul's Primary in Hyde, with his dish ‘George's Fabulous Fish' taking the Key Stage One award…..well done to both Imogen & George, looking at both dishes makes me very hungry!
A big thank you to John Riley
and all the staff at Tameside MBC and all the Schools for getting involved in
the Competition, there were some fantastic meals in amongst all the entries,
and as Keith Briggs commented whilst judging "a lot of time and effort has gone
into researching the meals and there really are some very mouth watering
dishes!".
Stalybridge Celtic FC Community Development Officer, Mike Smith, commented "The competition has proved a great success, with many fantastic mouth watering dishes being created by Primary School pupils across Tameside, I'm looking forward to trying the two winning dishes as soon as possible....well done to all involved!".
