After Steve Cherry's recall to Mansfield Town, Neil Cutler was brought in to keep goal for the last eight games of the season. Prior to Celtic, he played for West Brom in 1993 and in 1995 signed for Crewe Alexander going on loan (tiwce) to Leek Town. In 1998 he joined Chester, from where Celtic loaned him, and after leaving Chester he had a stint at Aston Villa, before joining Stoke City in 2002. He followed Stoke with spells at Swansea, Stockport County (2004) and Rotherham (2005). On leaving the playing side he took up a goalkeeping coach position at Bury, and is currently doing that at Scunthorpe United.
