
Kevin started with Southport in 1996, and spend four games on loan at Celtic, scoring once. In 1997 he joined Chorley then Conwy United, before settling at Altricham for his first spell at Moss Lane. Leicester City signed him, who paid £50k. However, he only made one first team appearance and was moved to Stockport County where he made 48 appearances and scored twice, with a loan spell at Lincoln City for 11 appearances in 2004. In 2005 he joined Chester City scoring 9 goals in 24 games, which was enough for Hull City to step in and pay £100k for him. He did make 39 appearances, and was well regarded with 2 goals, but after a season, joined Tranmere Rovers for one season, 34 games and 4 goals. Then it was back to Chester in 2007 for two more seasons, 75 appearances and 19 goals. Wrexham offered money, but he refused it, and instead went to Rotherham for two seasons making 88 appearances scoring 15 and spent 7 games on loan at Bradford City. In 2011 he finished his career with Morecambe, where he made 150 appearances, and scored 46 goals.
