Match Preview :- Gloucester City - Saturday August 15th, 2015 (15:00:00)

On Saturday, Celtic look get their first home win with a home game against Gloucester City. Gloucester have started with a home win, and an away loss so far this season, and will be looking to gain their first away win.

Last season, Gloucester finished in a respectable mid-table position, finishing fourteenth on fifty-two points, five places and seven points above Celtic. They did have a spell in the relegation spots, as a disastrous start to their campaign saw them win three games in the whole of August to November. They turned it around in December, winning six games by mid-February, and then finishing the season strongly with only one loss, on the last day of the season, in their last eight matches.

They had an impressive number of scorers last season, with twenty-two different players getting on the score sheet, and the leading goal-scorer was a tie between Charlie Griffin and Chris Jones who both had nine. Harry White almost caught them up, scoring seven in 2015, but came third. Gloucester lost both home and away to us last season, with Celtic winning 1-0 in Cheltenham (Stefan Galinski getting the only goal), and 2-1 at home – Harvey Wigley and Tom Bentham grabbing Celtic's goals. One of only two teams Celtic took six points off (the other being Hyde). Going back further, Gloucester have never won at Bower Fold, and in their last six visits here, Celtic have won four and drawn two; the last draw being a 2-2 result in January 2014.

This season, to bolster their front line, Gloucester have signed former Celtic striker, Obi Anorou. Who has two goals in two games for them so far, and last season scored eighteen for Colwyn Bay, making him the league's eighth highest goal-scorer.

Gloucester's last game was away at Corby Town, a game they lost 3-1. In that match, they lined up as:
1. Jasbir Singh
2. Spencer Hamilton
3. Billy Jones
4. Matt Williams
5. Sam Avery
6. Adam Connolly
7. Mat Liddiard
8. Connor Thompson
9. Obi Anoruo
10. Harry White
11. Ross Staley

Celtic's last game was a home 1-1 draw with Bradford Park Avenue. In that game, we lined up as:
1. Tony McMillan
2. Peter Wylie
3. Aidan Chippendale
4. Matty Hughes
5. Jack Higgins
6. John Shaw
7. Bohan Dixon
8. Dale Wright
9. Alex Johnson
10. Steve Tames
11. Adam Farrell

Celtic have a good record against Gloucester, but will be facing a former player who always have a habit of scoring against us.
