Match Preview :- Droylsden - Tuesday October 4th, 2016 (19:45:00)

On Tuesday night, Celtic make the short trip towards Manchester to face Droylsden in the Manchester Premier Cup. Kick off 7:45pm. There will be a match centre for this game.

Droylsden are currently eighteenth in the Evo-Stik Division 1 North, with ten points from eighteen games. They have won once at home this season (against Colne at the start of the season) , and drawn twice. Away from home, they have also won one and drawn two. They have scored eighteen goals, but conceded twenty-one, so scoring isn't their problem, defending is. Their top scorer this season, with seven goals, is Stephen Lewis, who is the second highest goal scorer in the division. They went out of the FA Cup at the end of August, when they were beaten away 2-1 by Radcliffe Borough.

One of Droylsden's two home draws was in their last match, a 2-2 draw against Scarborough Athletic. Sean Clancy made his debut for the Bloods also playing in this match was Adam Farrell, who is on loan with Droylsden. In that match, they lined up as:
1. James Coates
2. Shaquille Antoine-Clarke
3. Sean Clancy
4. Phil Clarke
5. Josh Heaton
6. Ben JHampson
7. Liam Caddick
8. Domain Rouse
9. Adam Farrell
10. Stephen Lewis
11. Billy Hasler-Cregg

Celtic's line up for the Droylsden match will differ from league matches, due to the rules on signing dates and loan players in the Premier Cup. Celtic currently are looking at Jay Gorton's knock from Saturday's FA Cup match, but he should be fit to play. With Aidan Chippendale making a return in that match, the squad is injury free, if a bit knocked about from Saturday. In that match, that finished 2-1 to Halifax, Celtic lined up as:
1. Tony McMillan
2. Keil O'Brien
3. Danny Wisdom
4. Jay Gorton
5. Matty Hughes
6. Aaron Chalmers
7. Darren McKnight
8. Gary Gee
9. Andy Owens
10. Steve Tames
11. Danny Pilkington

This match is a chance for the players to have a competitive game without as much riding on it, after a tough start to the season, and help them prepare for Saturday's vital league clash with Altrincham.
