Match Preview :- Farsley Celtic - Saturday September 2nd, 2017 (15:00:00)

On Saturday Celtic face another newcomer to the league, Farsley Celtic, who came up through the play-offs to join Lancaster. Farsley finished the league in second place just one point behind Lancaster with eighty-four, having won twenty-seven games and drawn six. There will be a match centre and Twitter feed for the game.

Farsley scored one hundred goals last season, and beat Colne 4-0 in the play-off semi-final, then Ossett Town 4-2 in the final. Their goal scoring prowess saw them score four in three games, five in six games and also managed a 6-0 over Congleton (away) and a 7-0 away at Ramsbottom! Over a third of their goals came from former Harrogate striker, James Walshaw, who found the net thirty-six times, whilst his closest rival for the Golden Boot, Richard Marshall, only(!) managed seventeen. They scored at an average of 2.4 goals per game, whilst their fifty conceded goals came at a rate of 1.2 per game. They kept fifteen clean sheets and failed to score seven times.

This season has seen them lose only once, their 1-0 away defeat to Shaw Lane on Monday. They have won three of their opening seven games, most recently beating Rushall Olympic 1-0 at home, whilst their last away win was a 2-1 win over Halesowen. They have failed to score twice this season, in their last match and the 0-0 home draw against Lancaster.

1. Graeme McKibbin
2. Adam Porritt
3. Isaac Baldwin
4. Christopher Atkinson
5. Jimmy Pollard
6. Adam Clayton
