Rob Gorksi is delighted to announce that Jim has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2013/14 season.
"I have said on many occasions that Jim is the most important man at this football club and he is the man we have built the whole structure around," said Gorski. "I have also continually mentioned the importance of continuity. Invariably the clubs with patience and a long serving manager are the clubs that succeed and it was therefore imperative that we kept our man".
Rob believes it also sends out a big message to the players that Jim believes in them and the whole project. If the players want to achieve, then they should stay together and next season they will, collectively, continue to improve.
"If we're all honest, it would be fair to say that we've actually reached this point in the project earlier than anticipated," admitted Rob. "Whatever happens for the remainder of the season, we're ahead of target and Jim (and Tim and Alan) deserve much credit. However the lads are still learning and as long as they continue to listen and learn from the maestro, they will only get better and better."
Jim's commitment to the club and the project is the best news that the club has had for some time. Everybody at the club is genuinely thrilled that he's signed.
