Stalybridge Celtic today announces that Jim Harvey has left his position as First Team Manager by mutual consent.

Jim joined us in February 2010 and has had two promotion-challenging teams in that period. He has been a major driver in the youth policy that we have developed and he was instrumental in our change to a full time structure.

Rob Gorski, chairman of Celtic, said: "I would like to put on record our sincere appreciation for all the hard work that Jim has put in over the past 3 1/2 years and we wish him every success in his future career."

Colin Chambers, our excellent Academy Coach, will take control of training from tomorrow morning until a new appointment is made

Jim Harvey was at the Bower Fold helm for 180 games, winning 73, drawing 38 and losing 69.

154 were league games (59 - 36 - 59) and 26 cup games (14 - 2- 10)
