With just one day left before the trip to Leamington, Celtic are pleased to reveal the new management team of Keith Briggs and Andy Fearn.

Neither Keith nor Andy will be strangers to many a Celtic fan, with both at the club under Steve Burr between 2008 and 2010. Keith made 81 appearances for Celtic in his two seasons, and was something of a crowd favourite. Born locally (in Glossop) he has also played for Stockport County, starting as a trainee, and going onto make one hundred and sixty-six appearances over two stints. Andy was Steve Burr's right hand man, and a scout specialising in unearthing real talent.

Celtic Chairman, Rob Gorski believes it has been a difficult decision in one way, but very easy in another.

"We had nearly 30 applications from a variety of backgrounds," said Rob. "From Premier League players (not Scholesy!), from ex Football League managers, from top Conference Premier managers and from ex players. We set about the task with a number of main criteria in our mind as to what the new manager needed to have on his C.V.

"We remain committed to the full time concept so the successful candidate needed to take training every day. He needed to be able to command the total respect of the players and preferably have played at the highest level. He needed to be professional, passionate and fully bought in to the vision and finally, as this is very important too, he/they needed to be able to reunite the club and it's fans."

Rob believes that Keith is the man that fulfils all that criteria, and as player/manager will add much needed experience to the team.

"They have great plans for the club, tremendous ambition," rob added. "They have boundless energy and were extremely professional in their approach. Keith (who captained Kidderminster last year for 40 games), can add some much needed experience to the midfield too.

"Andy has worked with one of the best non-league managers for the last 14 years. He was a scout for Steve Burr in his early years but was in the dug out at Kidderminster this season and has been Steve's right hand man. He has been tremendous for Celtic (even since he left) on the commercial side too but he has 30 years of football experience to give to Keith."

Keith Briggs is very clear about how he wishes to get the club on an even keel and buzzing, and he, Andy and the players will be available for questions in the social club after matches, ready and willing to chat to the fans.

Additionally, there will be a Meet the Manager evening, on Monday 21st of October in the Sponsors Lounge at 7.30 pm where Keith and Andy can answer all of your questions and share their vision with you.

We welcome Keith and Andy back to the club and we wish them every success.
