I don't want to put our skipper under pressure but I can see him eventually being our best ever player if he continues to work hard and "kick on".

It's only a matter of time, in my opinion, before I have a host of football league clubs (he's waaay too good for the Conference Premier) battering down my door.

With this in mind, and because in the meantime we all want Matt to be the foundation of our team, I am delighted to announce that he has signed an extension to his contract that will see him stay at Bower Fold until at least April 2016.

Matt will only get better. Experience will help, but so will bring surrounded by better players - which he thankfully is this season. That not only augurs well for Matt's career, but also for our club.
