It's with genuine disappointment that I announce that Fearny has decided to step down from his role at assistant manager of the club with immediate effect.

Andy is a tremendously successful businessman and has many business commitments and he felt that he was not able to give the club the time that he felt it deserved. Although he was an ever present on match days, Andy could really only manage one day a week at the training ground.

Fearny has been a tremendous help to the club over the years. In his first spell under Burr, Andy clocked up thousands of miles, all unpaid, assessing the opposition and potential new players. He also made the colossal move to have his own company, Cuticura, sponsor our shirts for a season costing him personally £20,000.

Upon his return with Briggsy, his infectious smile and wit had not left him and he demand a doubling of his wage - which he duly got!

Fearny will always be most welcome back at the ground and it was noticeable that although others have not followed suit when they have left, Fearny actually came back to Bower Fold numerous times between his two times at the club.

Good luck with the business buddy and I'll happily buy you a beer the next time you're back at Bower Fold.

Fearny's replacement will be the subject of a separate announcement.
