As expected,Sheffield United have called Dom back after his stint with us. Dom has made a massive impact on the whole club and we're all sad to see him go.

The lad himself rang Briggsy last night and said how much he'd enjoyed his time here and he would have loved to have stayed. However, he has a great career ahead of him and he needs to go back enthusiastically. Also, as Briggsy pointed out, it does not mean that he could not come back to us again at some stage - he is still only 17.

What is vital though now is that the players don't change their recent mentality. Of course Dom was not only prolific in front of goal, but laid on several goals too, however the whole team (bar the Tamworth game) have upped their game again over the past 6 weeks and need to continue with their new found positivity.

We have all been very busy trying to bring in new players but it's slow and very frustrating. The guy that we wanted to sign we are hoping will still come in on loan instead, but that one is complicated. We've got a couple of academy loanees from another League 1 side (similar to Dom in many ways really) that we are signing on loan, another full pro League player that we may bring in and apparently Pottsy has already settled in very well too.

It's a real shame to see Dom go, he has been a tremendous fillip both on and off the pitch, but hopefully he will be back one day. Meanwhile, the rest of the lads need to keep their confidence and start climbing the table again.

Keep the faith.
