Celtic have secured their second and third signings of the summer as striker Aaron Burns and midfielder Andrew Langford join from Trafford.

Having notched up an impressive 34 goals in 67 appearances for Trafford, 29-year-old Burns will provide a potent attacking threat to Celtic's frontline for the upcoming campaign.

Celtic manager, Steve Burr, spoke of his delight on securing the signing of Aaron Burns: "I'm delighted to get him. I know the fans like goal scorers and so do I.

"He's a proven goal scorer at this level over a number of years and scored freely last season."

Midfielder Andrew Langford has previously played for Morecambe, Fleetwood Town, Droylsden and most recently Trafford - meaning he will provide some much needed experience in the squad.

Burr then spoke positively about his other latest addition to his squad as he shapes up for the new campaign.

On Langford, he said: "Andrew is another lad I'm pleased to get on board. He was influential for Trafford last season and hardly missed a game.

"He is good on the ball in the centre of the pitch and can play at Centre back when needed."
