Stalybridge Celtic is delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Liam Tongue ahead of the opening day against Nantwich Town

Liam, 20, impressed during a successful trial period towards the end of pre-season and has now made his move permanent.

Born in Hattersley. and having played for Cheadle last year, we have no doubts Liam will be a fine addition to the managers squad.

We now turn our attention to the opening day of the Evo-Stik season, which begins this Saturday at Bower Fold as we host Nantwich Town (KO 3pm).
