Stalybridge Celtic are delighted to announce the signings of Chris Smalley and Michael Howard.

Chris Smalley has now joined the Celts on a permanent deal after being released from his contract at Stockport County by mutual consent. Smalley has made thirteen appearances since joining on loan from County and the club were delighted to bring him in permanently after the experience added to the defence has been excellent.

Michael Howard (pictured) joins on loan from Preston North End until the end of the season. Howard, who is seen as left winger, can play anywhere across the front 3 and has spent time on loan at Hednesford Town where he scored 6 goals in 12 appearances for them! Michael has been at Preston since he was 11 and when he was 18 last year he signed a professional deal at Preston North End.

Welcome to the Fold, Chris and Michael!

Stalybridge Celtic would also like to announce that Tom Brown has departed the club by mutual consent. Brown made forty-three appearances for the club and we thank him for his efforts over the last eighteen months. Good Luck and all the best for the future, Tom.
