Celtic are pleased to announce that Max Taylor has signed from Manchester United on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old central defender joins United teammate Alex Fojticek in making the move to Bower Fold.

Max joined Manchester United in 2014 following a trial. He has featured for the clubs Under 18s and now Under 23s.

During the 2018/19 season, Max required cancer treatment and thankfully responded successfully to treatment, returning to training in September 2019.

Max's first appearance since his surgery came in October 2019 against Swansea City's Under 23s.

In November 2019, he flew to Kazakhstan as part of Manchester United's squad for their UEFA Europa League match against FC Astana.

We are delighted to have Max at Bower Fold and wish him all the best for his time with Celtic.

The club would like to thank Manchester United for allowing both Max and Alex to join us for the remainder of the season.

A big Happy Birthday to Max who joins us on his 20th birthday.

Welcome to Celtic, Max!

Celtic are next in action on Saturday, travelling to Atherton Collieries for the very first time.
