The 22-year-old joins Celtic after a promising spells with Elton Vale and Prestwich Heys, where at the latter he scored 10 goals in 23 games.
Most recently scoring and featuring for Hyde United, Rio scored Hyde’s second goal in their Cheshire Cup victory over Altrincham last month.
Manager James Kinsey said: “Rio is a goal scorer. He’s raw and has elements of his game that he needs to develop, but there’s no doubt that he can offer a lot in the final third.
“He arrives here really highly regarded with everyone I’ve spoken to having nothing but positive things to say about him. He comes at an important time and we are glad to add him to our group.”
