Stalybridge Celtic can confirm the signing of defender Ethen Vaughan on loan from Bootle.

The 22-year-old versatile defender and former Wales U19 international joins Celtic until the end of the season.

Starting his career in Norwich City’s academy, Ethan has also featured for Burnley U21’s having made 32 Premier League 2 appearances and playing 32 U18 Premier League games.

Ethen has also featured for Guiseley and Marske before joining Bootle in August 2023 with a spell on loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the NPL Premier Division earlier this year.

After Ethen’s arrival at Celtic was confirmed, Manager James Kinsey said: “Ethan will provide defensive cover with us having a lot of injuries at the minute. He has lots of pace and energy, and will provide good quality to our group. We’re thankful to Bootle for allowing us to take him until the summer.”
