  Celtic are back down the M6 this weekend when we travel to Stafford Rangers for the Conference North league match (kick off 3pm).   Celtic have a home game on Saturday when we face Gainsborough Trinity (kick off 3pm). Gainsborough have won twice this season, both of them away from home, and in their last match put five past Ilkeston. This has left them two places and one point above Celtic in the table, with seven points in thirteenth. There will be a live match centre for this game.

  Celtic have another trip to the midlands on Saturday when we visit freshly promoted Nuneaton Town. Nuneaton are currently eighth in the table, three places ahead of Celtic, on eight points. They have had an unbeaten start to the season, having beaten also freshly promoted Guiseley and Boston United away from home, and taken two draws at home against Ilkeston Town and Droylsden.   Tonight Celtic face Vauxhall Motors in the Blue Square Bet Conference North (kick off 7:45pm). This is a Celtic Curry Night, a popular event that opens up the Sponsors Lounge to let people have a three course meal, a match day programme, use of the bar, and entry to the ground for a mere £15. This starts at 6:15pm, and there are a few spaces left. There will be a live match centre for this game.

August 18th, 2010   Hinckley United - 21st August 2010
  Hot on the heels of a brace of wins at home to Redditch and away at Blyth, Celtic are back on the road on Saturday when we travel south this time to visit Hinckley United. Hinckley have lost their opening two fixtures 1-0, first away at Alfreton on Saturday, and again on Monday night at home to Boston. Last season Hinckley finished seventh, a mere two points off the play-offs, and seven points ahead of Celtic, after winning sixteen of their games, and losing just ten. There will be a live match centre for this game, and Brian is running a coach (contact on 07940 825957).

August 16th, 2010   Blyth Spartans - 17th August 2010
  Celtic will make their first away trip on Tuesday, and it’s a long one as we travel up to the northeast to face Blyth Spartans. This will be Blyth’s first home match of the season, having kicked their season off with an away loss at Solihull Moors. This has left Blyth twentieth in the league, level with Redditch, and ahead of Hyde on goal difference. There is no match centre for this game, and there is no coach. However, live highlights are sometimes put on Blyth’s twitter page, which (if available) will be accessible from their web-site home page.

  The 2010/11 season kicks off on Saturday with a visit from Redditch United. Redditch finished last season in nineteenth, one place off what would have been the drop zone had anybody dropped. They will be looking to over thirteen failed attempts at beating Celtic home or away. At the start of last season, these two teams met, a game Celtic won 4-1. The last meeting between the two sides was a 3-0 win for Celtic at Bower Fold.

  On Saturday Celtic travel to Fleetwood knowing that they can have an effect on the outcome of who will be the champions of the Conference North 2010. This Conference North clash kicks off at 3pm, there will be a Live Match Centre and there will be at least one coach. Fleetwood are currently second, one point behind Southport, waiting on the result of an appeal of the Farsley point expunging that would put them top, if successful. They are on eighty-two points, twenty-seven points and seven places above Celtic.

  Monday sees a chance for Celtic to gain revenge for the recent 4-2 home defeat to Hyde United when we visit Ewen Fields for the Conference North clash (kick off 7:45pm). Hyde were lifted to seventeenth by the win last week, and now sit eleven places and fourteen points behind Celtic, having played two games more. There will be a live match centre for this game.

  On Saturday Celtic travel to AFC Telford United for the Conference North match (Kick off 3pm). Telford are currently fifth in the table, on forty-eight points, three points (with an inferior goal difference to Celtic) and three places ahead of Celtic having played five games more. This is a chance for Celtic to get into the play-off spots, replacing Telford. Brian is running a coach to this game, however due to family commitments there will be no match centre for this game. Telford games are sometimes broadcast on BBC Radio Shropshire, check their web site on the day.

  Celtic will attempt to play Southport at the second time of asking after the initial attempt saw the game abandoned with only a few minutes to go due to floodlight failure. Quite a lot has changed since the last time the two teams met. Southport were top at Christmas, but now sit second; they had been on an eleven game unbeaten streak, and have now won two of the last five games; and, of course, Celtic have a new manager. Kick-off is 7:45pm and there will be a live match centre for the game.

Gloucester have struggled to adapt to the Conference North and lie sixteenth in the table, seven places and six points behind Celtic having played four games more. Like Farsley, they have drawn very few games, with only three draws; however, they have five less wins than Farsley.

  Celtic have a packed festive fixture list with two games against Hyde (Boxing Day and New Year’s Day) sandwiched around a visit by Southport on Monday 28th December (all kick offs 3pm).
