
Chris is a free scoring midfielder who came through the youth and reserve ranks at Oldham Athletic (where he played alongside former Celt, Matty Barlow), and was released in 2007. After trials with Altrincham, he joined FC United of Manchester for two seasons, with a summer spell at Mandurah City in Australia. He made 73 appearances and scored 25 goals for FCUoM. In 2009, he joined Leigh Genesis with his brother Jamie. He scored on his debut and went on to score twelve goals in nineteen appearances, despite having joining Salford City briefly. After leaving FC United, Chris joined Rossendale taking over the reigns as co-manager with his brother, before leaving in 2011 to return to playing at New Mills. He found his goal scoring form again, and joined Ashton United, going onto make a hundred appearances for the Robins in two spells, separated by a brief stint at Ramsbottom United. Last season he scored thirteen goals for Ashton.
