Andy first played for Celtic in 2004, when he came on loan from Northwich Victoria, a side he joined in November 2003 from Vauxhall Motors. During his stint at the Motormen, Andy has played in several big games, including Vauxhall's massive win over QPR in the FA Cup in the 2002/3 season (he saved a penalty after extra-time to put Vauxhall through to second round). Prior to Vauxhall, Andy came through the academy set up at Everton, before making the move to Tranmere Rovers youth team, a team that won the youth championship in 2001. He should have progressed to the first team, but with a change of management he was released and joined Kidsgrove Athletic at the end of the 2001/2 season, but wasn't there long before joining Vauxhall. After Northwich, Andy moved across Cheshire to Altrincham where he made seven appearances and kept six clean sheets. In 2009 Andy moved to Australia and played in their first division and most recently for Waitakere United in New Zealand. Wanting to return to England, Andy joined Celtic, however, two minutes into the first game of the season away at Workington, Andy was involved in a bad challenge that broke his leg. After getting back to some of his former fitness, he came back for one game to cover when Matty Urwin was injured.
