Match Preview :- Solihull Moors - Saturday September 18th, 2010 (15:00:00)
On Saturday, Celtic travel south down to the Midlands again, this time for the Conference North match against Solihull Moors (kick off 3pm). Solihull are currently ninth in the league, on twelve points, one place above Celtic on goal difference only. There is a coach to this match, and there will be a live score centre.

Solihull had a great start to the season, winning four from their opening six, and rising to sixth in the league. They beat Blyth, Eastwood and Gloucester at home and Worcester away, with losses away from home in between to Stafford, and Harrogate. They have lost their last two games, one away at Workington (2-1) and one at home to Telford (1-0).

Last season, we beat Solihull at home in our last meeting 4-1, whilst drawing 2-2 away at their place early in the season, with a contender for save of the season denying Matty Barlow a hat-trick and the winning goal in stoppage time. The last time Moors beat us was back in December 2007, when they won 3-2 at Bower Fold, whilst the only time they have beaten us at their place was the same season, in September 2006, when they won 2-1. In our last six visits, we have won twice and drawn three times.

Solihull?s top scorer so far this season is Ryan Beswick, who has found the net three times. However, Solihull are not a free scoring team, with seven goals in total. They score an average of 1.5 goals per game at home (one per game overall), whilst conceding 0.5 goals per game at home (0.9 overall). They are stronger in the first half, with five of their seven goals scored here, four in the last fifteen of the half, whilst they have conceded twice in that half, with four of their conceded six in the second half, and two of those in stoppage time. It would appear that Solihull are going to be tough to break down this season.

Solihull appear to be injury free and suspension free ahead of the match, and have just signed ex-Doncaster striker Simon Johnson from Guiseley. In their last match, a 1-0 home defeat to Telford, Solihull lined up as:
1. Jasbir Singh
2. Sam Adkins
3. Dom Langdon
4. Henry Eze
5. Theo Streete
6. Colm Tierman
7. Joel Grandison
8. Junior English
9. Adam Cunnington
10. Matty West
11. Ryan Beswick
Celtic also have a full squad to pick from ahead of the game, and in our last match, the 3-1 away win over Stafford, Celtic lined up as:
1. Jan Budtz
2. Glen Rule
3. Andy McWilliams
4. Tim Ryan
5. Steve Woods
6. Jack Rea
7. Connor Jennings
8. Greg Wilkinson
9. Phil Marsh
10. Lloyd Ellams
11. Lee Elam

The automated prediction algorithm thinks that home advantage will be enough to separate these two sides, and has gone for a 3-2 score line due to Celtic?s average away goals still being at 2.25, and it will take a few games to get that down.

Other games on Saturday:
Alfreton Town (24pts 1st) v Boston United (19pts 3rd)
Blyth Spartans (9pts 13th) v (pts th) Vauxhall Motors (5pts 19th)
Corby Town (14pts 7th) v AFC Telford (20pts 2nd)
Eastwood Town (4pts 20th) v Hinckley United (6pts 18th)
Gloucester City (12pts 8th) v Guiseley (15pts 6th)
Hyde (4pts 21st) v Redditch United (1pts 22nd)
Nuneaton Town (12pts 11th) v Harrogate Town (9pts 14th)
Stafford Rangers (8pts 15th) v Gainsborough Trinity (7pts 16th)
Worcester City (11pts 12th) v Workington (19pts 4th)

With Droylsden not playing due to the demise of Ilkeston Town, a win for Celtic would put them level on points with Droylsden (currently fifth), although having played a game more; depending on other results, three points could put us sixth, whilst a loss could see us drop as low as fifteenth!
