Match Preview :- FC United Of Manchester - Saturday September 19th, 2015 (15:00:00)

On Saturday, Celtic face FC United of Manchester with a 3pm kick-off. Please note that this game will be segregated, with the Cinnamon Tree to be used as the away fans social club, open from 1pm onwards.

FC United are currently two points and two places above Celtic in eleventh on twelve points.

FC United finished last season top of the Evo-Stik Premier, earning automatic promotion after a few years of nearly making it through the play-offs. They finished two points clear of Workington, and nine points clear of play-off winners, Curzon Ashton. They won twenty-six and lost only six times all season, and so far this season, appear to have made the step up quite comfortably. Though they finished the season with a loss away at the runners up Workington, they had already won the league at home to Stourbridge, despite a shaky start. This season sees another shaky start for FC United, with three away losses so far, and another at home (to Stockport County). Their most recent game was the 4-0 drubbing at the hands of AFC Fylde.

Their top scorer so far is Sam Madeley with four, and this is indicative of their away form this season, with only two games scored in – although in both cases they scored in the first ten minutes, so they are dangerous early on when away. Also, when they score away from home, they go onto win. Home or away, if they've been losing at half time, they go onto lose, and have only twice been drawing at half time, one that finished a draw the other finished in a loss.

FC United lost their last match 4-0 away at Fylde after losing former Celtic goalkeeper, David Carnell, early in the second half. His suspension doesn't kick in for Saturday's match. In that match, they lined up as:
1. David Carnell
2. Liam Brownhill
3. Scott Cheetham
4. Dean Stott
5. Nia Bayunu
6. Luke Ashworth
7. Matthew Wolfenden
8. Rory Fallon
9. Tom Greaves
10. Sean Cooke
11. Sam Madeley

Celtic's last match was the amazing comeback away at Nuneaton Town, the game finishing 3-3. Celtic will still be without Chris Simm and Adam Farrell, who are both serving suspensions, whilst Danny Wisdom and Alex Mudimu are both still on the physio's table. In the Nuneaton match, Celtic lined up as:
1. Tony McMillan
2. Oliver Crowley
3. Aidan Chippendale
4. Matty Hughes
5. Jack Higgins
6. John Shaw
7. Bohan Dixon
8. Aaron Chalmers
9. Alex Johnson
10. Steve Tames
11. Dale Wright

After the all-important ten game mark, Celtic are mid-table. A win could lift us a couple of places, into the top ten, whilst a loss could see us drop three places. There is a full schedule this weekend:
