On Bank Holiday Monday, Celtic return to Bower Fold to take on Trafford. Trafford are currently seventh in the league on six points, one point behind Celtic third placed Celtic. Kick-off is 3pm.
Trafford have started this season with two wins and a loss, winning their only away game this season, when they beat Congleton Town 3-0. A 1-0 home loss by Bootle and a 1-0 home win over Widnes followed. Last season, Trafford avoided relegation, finishing fourth bottom, on thirty-nine points, five places and fourteen points behind Celtic. With forty goals scored, only Hanley and Northwich scored fewer, though this was mainly down to their home attack netting eighteen. At one point, Trafford looked certain for the drop going twelve games without a win, but a rally from November through to January saw them lose only four in seventeen, lifting them to mid-table. Two wins in their last ten matches saw them slide back towards the danger line, but thanks to a league re-organisation they survived.
Eddie Servuts was their top scorer last season, with seven. They scored an average of 1.2 goals away from home (1.1 overall) whilst conceding 1.6 goals per away game and 1.5 overall. Four of their clean sheets came on the road, and they failed to score 7 times away form home from fourteen times overall.
Remarkably, we have met Trafford four times competitively, and every time was last season, with only one game at Bower Fold. It began with the FA Trophy, which Celtic won 2-1, we lost the Manchester Cup encounter there, 3-2, and drew 1-1 in the league. The only competitive match at Bower Fold between the sides finished 1-0 to Celtic, Matty Bryan scoring.

1. Sam Booth
2. Sean Higgins
3. Damola Sotona
4. Jordan Fagbola
5. Jack Higginbottom
6. Brad Byrne
7. Isaac Noble
8. Hilal Khan
9. Rio Clegg

3. Kyle Brownhill
4. Aaron Chalmers
5. Danny Lafferty
