We’re delighted to confirm the signing of striker Ntumba Massanka who returns to Celtic!

The 27-year-old made seven appearances for the Club when in loan from South Shields in January 2022, scoring in a 2-0 away win over Bamber Bridge.

After securing Ntumba’s signature, James Kinsey said: “Ntumba is a real handful! He’s a player that can bring others into play and allow us to get up the pitch. He has experience in winning this league with Macclesfield and will bring a lot in the final third. He played in a behind closed doors game on Tuesday night and we were really happy with what he brought.

“He was keen to play after returning from Cyprus and wants a good run up until summer. We’re glad to have him with us.”

Ntumba spent time in the youth systems at Manchester United and Manchester City before joining Burnley and signing professional terms in 2015. Loan spells at York (3 appearances), Morecambe (10 appearances) and Wrexham (44 appearances and 6 goals) were followed by time with Dover and RWDM47 in Belgium.

Joining South Shields in 2021, Ntumba has also featured for Italian side ASD Angelana after previously being with Chorley in the National League as well as time on loan at Bower Fold in 2022.

He spent the second half of last season with Macclesfield as they won the NPL West and has most recently been playing for Cypriot side Digenis Morfou.

Welcome back, Ntumba!
