
Dutch-born Alfonso came through the ranks at Zeeburgia AFC, switching to Argon and then to Almere City. Upon moving into the senior team, he joined Dutch East Division team, Oss in 2014. Over the course of the season, he made seven appearances. His switch to England came in 2015, when he moved to Southport to live with his brother (Manchester United player Timothy Fosu-Mensah). Hi spell with the Sandgrounders was brief, moving into Wales to join Colwyn Bay and finishing the 2015/16 season at Ashton United. 2016 saw him join North Ferriby United, via Skelmersdale United, where he made four appearances. The 2016/17 season saw him make three appearances for Hednesford and nine for Marine. It was a return to Wales in the 2017/18 season when Alfonso joined Airbus UK Broughton, where scored sixteen goals in twenty-two appearances, including ten goals in his first eight appearances which attracted the attentions of Welsh Premier League side Llandudno. After four appearances and a goal, he was loaned to Denbigh Town, where he scored twice in his four appearances. In the 2018/19 season, he briefly moved to Widnes, but only made two appearances before returning to Llandudno, where he has made a further four appearances and scored another goal.
