Game off - Hednesford
Match Report -
Weather The Major Factor
By Debbie Taylor

The biggest factor in the match was the weather. The first half was made difficult by the swirling, strong wind, the second made difficult by the wind and a downpour of Biblical proportions.

The only real incident of note was a wind ?assisted cross from Craig Reid for Trinity that looped over Tony McMillan and hit the far post before spiralling away, whilst the closest Celtic came was a great stretching volley from Chris Simm that just cleared the bar, and Jack Higgins's header from a corner that was equally off target.

The second half started slowly, Simm again going close, after powering through and firing into the side netting, but the best chance came with fifteen minutes to go, a superb Ben McKenna cross was met the head of Chris Simm, with former Celtic keeper, Jan Budtz, clawing the ball off Simm's head, the loose ball hacked off the line by Dominic Roma. Jack Higgins headed a late corner wide, whilst Nathan Jarman's free kick went for a corner with Tony McMillan clawing away for a corner there was no time left to take.
