Match Preview :- Nuneaton Town - Tuesday January 11th, 2011 (19:45:00)
On Tuesday night Celtic host Nuneaton Town in the Conference North clash (kick off 7:45pm). Nuneaton are currently fourth in the Conference North with forty points level with third placed Telford with a game in hand. They are twenty-two points and ten places above Celtic. There will be a live match centre for this game.

Nuneaton have had a storming start to the season, carrying on last season?s good form that saw them win the play off final in the Southern League Premier Division after an end to the season that saw them playing catch up of games in hand. They have lost just twice all season, once at home to league leaders Alfreton, and once away at third placed Telford. They have the fifth best defence, and the fifth best attack, and currently sit top of the form table, being the only team not to lose in their last ten matches.

Our last meeting was earlier this season, when Celtic gave them a good run for their money, but ultimately lost 2-1. Earlier meetings were with Nuneaton in their previous guise of Nuneaton Borough, and Borough won their last visit to the Fold, 2-0 in February 2008, their only win over Celtic at Bower Fold. Celtic?s last victory over Nuneaton was the season before when we won 4-3. We have met eleven times in the league, with Celtic having won three at Bower Fold, and there have been four draws. We have not beaten them in the league in Nuneaton, but did knock them out of the FA Trophy there in 2002.

Kyle Storer is Nuneaton?s top scorer, with eight goals, closely followed by Lee Moore on seven. On average, Nuneaton score 2.1 goals per game away (1.9 overall) whilst conceding 1.4 goals per game away (1.1 overall). They have kept two clean sheets on the road at Redditch and Workington, and six overall. Nuneaton have scored in every away game, and only once failed to score in a 0-0 draw at home to Telford. With twenty-two of their thirty-four goals coming in the second half, they are a second half team, with a third of their goals coming in the fifteen minute spell after the restart. They are also slightly more vulnerable in the second period, with twelve of their conceded twenty goals coming in this period, again, the fifteen minute spell after the restart has seen them concede a third of all their goals.

Nuneaton have no suspension ahead of the match. In their last game, the 3-2 win at home to Blyth, where Nuneaton came back from 2-0 down, Nuneaton lined up as:
1. Danny Alcock
2. James Armson
3. Simon Forsdick
4. Mark Noon
5. Gareth Dean
6. Adam Walker
7. Chris Dillon
8. Kyle Storer
9. Danny Spencer
10. Lee Moore
11. Guy Hadland

Celtic also have no suspensions ahead of the match, and will be checking on the progress of Greg Wilkinson, who was stretchered off against Alfreton. Adam Kay will also probably be missing with a tight hamstring, and Jan Budtz is unlikely to return on Tuesday. There is every chance that new loan signing, Stephen Brogan will start, having completed ninety minutes on Saturday. In Saturday?s 5-3 away loss to Alfreton Town, Celtic lined up as:
1. Ashley Woodhouse
2. Glenn Rule
3. Andy McWilliams
4. Kristian Platt
5. Rhys Meynell
6. Stephen Brogan
7. Lee Elam
8. Greg Wilkinson
9. Phil Marsh
10. Craig Hobson
11. Callum Warburton

Celtic really need a win as the bottom five continue to pick up points narrowing the gap. Don?t expect a draw though, as Celtic are the only team in the top six divisions yet to have had a draw this season. The Automated prediction algorithm is suggesting this won?t happen with a 3-1 suggested score-line in Nuneaton?s favour.
