Match Preview :- Bradford Park Avenue - Tuesday April 21st, 2015 (19:45:00)

On Tuesday, Celtic have their penultimate match facing Bradford Park Avenue. Bradford are five points and one place above Celtic, and are safe, out of the five teams below them, only Celtic can catch them, although both teams have two games left. There will be a match centre for this match – and a potato pie supper – see news.

Bradford went a long time without a home match, not playing at home between mid-November and mid-February! This affected their league position as they accrued games in hand rather than points. They did make use of the games in hand once they started playing again, losing only two in fourteen games, and putting themselves safe from relegation. They have lost their last two games, against Worcester and Fylde, both at home, and drew 0-0 with Gusieley – also at home. Their last win was a 3-1 away win at Hyde, whilst their last away loss was back at the start of March when Tamworth beat them 2-0.

Their top scorer is Chib Chilaka on fourteen goals, with Richard Marshall probably two far away to catch him for the Golden Boot now, on six. They have had eighteen different scorers this season, getting a total of 51 goals. They score an average of 1.3 goals per game and concede 1.8 away from home and 1.7 overall. Bradford have kept four clean sheets on the road, and failed to scorer in five.

Our last meeting wasn't that long ago, in mid-March, when Ryan Qualter scored the only goal in our away match there. That was Keith Briggs's last game in charge, and rung the change that has resulted in Celtic moving towards safety. Bradford's last win at Bower Fold was a 4-1 win in September 2004, whilst Celtic's last win over them was a 2-0 win in December 2012, with goals from Jamie Mullan and Tom Buckley. Bradford's last visit here, last season ended in a 2-2 draw, with both goals from Sean McConville for us, and Chilaka and Marshall getting the goals for BPA.

In Bradford's last match, the 1-0 home loss to Worcester, they lined up as:
1. John Danby
2. Chris Lever
3. Chris Howarth
4. Richard Marshall
5. Simon Ainge
6. Ryan Qualter
7. Joe Colbeck
8. Luke Dean
9. Chib Chilaka
10. Bradley Barraclough
11. Craig King

In Celtic's last match, the 2-1 away win at Hednesford Town, we lined up as:
1. Ross Etheridge
2. Peter Wyle
3. Oliver Crowley
4. Stefan Galinski
5. Matty Hughes
6. Michael Potts
7. Aidan Chippendale
8. Ben McKenna
9. Chris Simm
10. Michael Powell
11. Alex Mudimu

Celtic need one more point to make us safe, unless Colwyn Bay can win their last match by ten goals. With Brackley matching us for points, a win and we could be in a position to catch both Bradford and Gainsborough. There are only two matches on Tuesday, the other match being Guiseley hosting North Ferriby.
