After Aaron Dwyer's powerful long-range strike in the opening minutes was cancelled out by Joel Amado's header in the closing minutes, the Ray Stanley Memorial Shield went to penalties, mirroring the Keith Trudgeon Memorial Trophy earlier in the week.

Lewis Alessandra saw his penalty, and Hyde's second, saved. whilst Celtic scored their opening four. Jacques Etia could have won it for Celtic, but fired wide, allowing the penalties to go to sudden death. When Brandon Newell missed, the trophy went to Hyde.
