Lee joins from Ashton United. He started his career at Bury, joining Morecambe on his release. After a couple of seasons at Morecambe, he joined Walshaw, but it was his move to Ramsbottom where people sat up and took notice, becoming a prolific goal scorer for the Rams, bagging 108 goals in 187 appearances in his first spell, before moving to Darlington where he continued his goal scoring form. A return in 2015 to Ramsbottom came due to excessive travelling, before having spells with Warrington Town and Ashton United in 2016.
