Employer: Stalybridge Celtic Football Academy
Job Title: Community Development Officer
Responsible to: Academy Board Member
Reporting to: Stalybridge Celtic Community Steering Group
Location: Bower Fold. Mottram Road, Stalybridge, SK15 2RT
Salary : �22,464 pro rata
Hours : 18.5 hours per week
Holidays : 20 days plus bank holidays pro rata
Contract: One year linked to funding
Purpose: To develop the Community Development Plan for Stalybridge Celtic by developing partnerships in the community and coordinating the delivery of adult education courses for unemployed people and identifying and securing funding for the future.
MAIN TASKS
1. To identify opportunities to develop partnerships in order to fulfil the Development Plan agreed with the Football Conference Trust
2. To represent the Club at meetings with partners and potential partners
3. To achieve the targets set out in the development plan agreed with the Football Conference Trust
4. To establish pathways for referring unemployed adults onto adult education courses
5. To deliver projects benefitting the local community which utilise local volunteers and especially volunteers recruited via the adult education courses.
6. To develop a Community Development Plan
7. To report to the Community Steering Group on progress made in relation to the development plan agreed with the Football Conference Trust and the Community Development Plan
8. To identify sources of potential funding for the club's community work
9. To make applications for funding for the club's community work.
GENERAL TASKS
1. To abide by the policies of the football club and the academy including polices covering safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults and equal opportunities.
2. To keep abreast of relevant legislation, policy and best practice.
3. To maintain records of the outputs and outcomes achieved by the club's community work to support future funding bids.
4. To communicate with other staff at the club as and when necessary
5. To carry out other duties that may be reasonably required
6. To uphold the good name of Stalybridge Celtic FC
