The Stalybridge Celtic Foundation are delighted to announce the award of a grant to the sum of �26,197.50 from the Jigsaw Foundation, to deliver projects within the Hague, Ridgehill and Central Stalybridge neighbourhoods.

The project 'Making A Difference' will help improve the health and lifestyles of people in isolation and of people with learning disabilities and mental health issues.

The Funding will enable the Foundation to provide football based community projects throughout the year for all aspects of the community. This will include men, women and children of all ages.

Activities will include Walking Football, Adult PAN-Disability sessions, School Holiday Soccer Courses, a 'Get Fit Challenge' (NHS Based), Sporting Memories group for people with dementia and Match Day visits for local children.

Community Development Officer, Mike Smith - 'A massive thank you to Linda Whyatt and everyone at Jigsaw Homes for awarding us the grant to enable us to continue making an impact in our local community, we look forward to getting our new activities up and running with new people and as the title says....make a difference!'.
