On Tuesday night, Stalybridge travel across to Lincolnshire to face Gainsborough Trinity. Trinity have yet to win a game this season, with two draws and a defeat. The home draw against Worcester, and the away draw at Fylde, while the away defeat was at Harrogate. Kick-off is 7.45. Please note, there is no match centre for this game.

Trinity finished last season in seventeenth on fifty points, five points and two places above Celtic. They won fourteen and drew eight of their games last season, one of those draws being the ding-dong battle that ensured Celtic's survival on the last day of the season, which finished 4-4 with an equaliser in the final moments of the game leading to a very nervy end to the match after Alex Mudimu and Chris Simm had put Celtic in a 3-1 lead with only quarter of an hour to go. Goals from Paul Beesley and former Celt Steve Brogan put trinity back on level terms, when Aidan Chippendale's marvellous deflected shot looked to have clinched the win, guaranteed safety and happy faces, until in stoppage time Lyton Karkash equalised.

Celtic lost their only away game of the season so far, away at Hednesford. Previous meetings between Celtic and Trinity are quite even, since 1988, we have played at Trinity twenty-three times and won six times, and lost six times. Our last trip there last season was a 2-1 win for Gainsborough, with an early Liam Dickinson goal cancelled out by two second half goals from Paul Beesley and Darryn Stamp. Our last win there was the season before, August 2013, Adam Pepper and Sean McConville both scoring match winning strikes in the second half.
