On Tuesday night, Celtic travel across Cheshire to Alsager Town for the Cheshire Senior Cup clash. Alsager are currently fifth in the Northwest Counties division one on forty-one points, after winning twelve games (seven at home), drawing five (two at home) and losing five (two at home). They are three divisions below Celtic after being relegated last season. September and October were two great months for Alsager, with only one loss and one draw in fifteen games lifting them to the top of the table. Since then, November and December have been less beneficial, with three wins in their last ten games, with three draws and two losses. Only three of these have been home games, with two wins and a loss in those games. Their last home game was a 2-1 win over Eccleshall on Boxing Day. Their last home loss was a 3-2 defeat by New Mills in mid-November. Their other home game in this period was a 5-2 thrashing of Holker Old Boys.

Celtic have not won away from home since the start of April 2017, nine months ago when we beat Alfreton Town (and in the past two seasons, we have won away just three other times). Our home form has been much better this season, and if we can break this bizarre run it will help our season.
