On Thursday, Celtic should have been making the trip to Atherlsey in Barnsley to face Shaw Lane, however, due to the number of postponenments and matches to fit in, this game will be played at Bower Fold. Shaw Lane are currently sixth in the league on sixty-three points, eighteen points and fourteen places higher than Celtic despite having played a game more. There will be a Match Centre and Twitter feed for this game.

After back to back promotions, Shaw Lane started life in the Northern Premier League with a pair of losses. Their loss in their first home game hosting Mickleover Sports was their only loss at home for months, but in their last four home matches, they have lost three. Their last ten matches have seen them win three times, and lose seven, with three losses and two wins in their last five.

Shaw Lane's top scorer is Paul Clayton who has thirteen. He is being pushed for their top scorer by Damien Reeves, on eleven. Shaw Lane have had fourteen different goal scorers netting sixty-five goals this season (thirty-five at home) at a rate of 1.7 goals per game (1.9 at home). They have conceded fifty-two goals this season (nineteen at home) at a rate of 1.4 goals per game (1.1 at home). Their home defensive record is good, with only Warrington conceding fewer goals at home. They have kept twelve clean sheets, the league record, seven of them at home. They have failed to score in nine matches, four at home.

We have already played Shaw Lane this season, when they beat us 1-0, thanks to a counterattack goal from David Norris and a goalkeeping masterclass from Jon Stewart.

Shaw Lane's last match was the 3-1 home defeat by Marine. In that match, Shaw Lane lined up as:
1. Ed Wilczynski
2. Jake Picton
3. Ben Gordon
4. Kieran Lugsden
5. Jake Skjelton
6. David Norris
7. Alex Byrne
8. Spencer Harris
9. Paul Clayton
10. Gavin Rothery
11. Ollie Dyson

Celtic's last match was the 6-1 home win away over Barnton in the Cheshire Senior Cup. Our last league match was the 4-1 home defeat by Farsley. In the Farsley match, we lined up as:

1. George Sykes-Kenworthy
2. Harrision Holgate
3. Alex Honeyball
4. Danny Morton
5. Luke Ashworth
6. Jack Taylor
7. Tom Brown
8. Oli Roberts
9. Jake Charles
10. Matty Wolfenden
11. Connor Hughes

Ross Killock, Greg Wilkinson and Liam Dickinson will likely be missing through injury.

Celtic last won at home in the league against Warrington, though, technically, this is an away game and we have won five of the last seven of those. A win could lift us two places, whilst a loss could see us drop a place if Coalville beat Workington. Shaw Lane are still pushing for a promotion place, so will be aiming to take another three points off us at Bower Fold, as they did in the only other time we have met Shaw Lane.

Other games on Thursday:
Coalville Town (43pts 22nd) v Workington (56pts 11th)
Farsley Celtic (70pts 5th) v Witton Albion (61pts 7th)
Stourbridge (53pts 15th) v Stafford Rangers (54pts 14th)
