On Monday, Celtic travel to Nantwich Town in the Cheshire Senior Cup Semi-Final (kick off 7:45pm). Nantwich are currently eleventh on fifty-seven points, ten places and twelve points above Celtic having played three more games. There will be a match centre and Twitter feed for the game.

After losing to Celtic in the opening match, Nantwich improved with one loss in their next eight. the season well, with two losses in their opening thirteen propelling them to the play-off spots. They have had small runs of wins, but nothing consistent. Their last five home games have seen them win one (against Warrington), draw one and lose three, including losing to Celtic in March. They have only actually lost one in their last seven games, their most recent game 2-1 at home to Rushall, but have had three wins and three draws in that time. Nantwich have got to the semi-final after beating Sandbach away 2-0 and Crewe Alexandra at home 2-1.

Harry Clayton is set to overtake the now departed Sean Cooke (he went to AFC Fylde) for the top scorer for Nantwich, with thirteen goals each. Between them, they have scored nearly half of the fifty-nine goals Nantwich have scored in the league this season. Thirty-one of those fifty-nine have come at home a rate of 1.5 goals per game (1.4 overall). They have conceded sixty-one goals, thirty-five at home, at a rate of 1.7 goals per game at home and 1.5 overall. Five of their twelve clean sheets have come at home, and they have failed to score eight times, but only twice at home.

Celtic will most be without Ross Killock and Tom Brown through injury whilst Greg Wilkinson could be back after his layoff.

We have played and beaten Nantwich twice this season, 1-0 at home in the opening game thanks to Alex Honeyball's first half goal, and again at Nantwich when we won 3-2 thanks to Matty Wolfenden's stoppage time winner after Connor Hughes and Wolfenden had twice given Celtic the lead. In the last thirty years, we have met Nantwich five times in the Cheshire Senior Cup, including the final in 2012. Nantwich have won four of them, with Celtic last beating them in the competition back in 2004, when we won 4-0.
