Stalybridge Celtic’s Academy are holding a taster session on Monday 24th July with the opportunity for school leavers to find out more about playing for the clubs Academy and studying the NCFE Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity course at Tameside College.

Open to year 11 students who are leaving school this summer, the taster session will be held between 2pm-4pm at Astley Sports Village, Yew Tree Lane, Dukinfield, SK16 5BL.


Our Academy team are coached by experienced coach Dean Brathwaite, who has a wide range of coaching experience from academy football, Manchester City’s Development Centre and from his own Bee Inspired Football Academy.

Dean is well known within the industry and works regularly with top professional young players including the likes of James McAtee and Liam Delap.

Alongside training, developing and playing for Celtic’s Academy, you’ll study for a NCFE Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity with our education partner Tameside College. The course is designed to give you the skills, knowledge and understanding of coaching sport & physical activity.
